Property and boat watch within 50 km of Zadar
I regularly check your empty seaside apartment, holiday home or boat, and after every visit I send you a photo report: taken from the same angles, compared with the previous condition. If something goes wrong, I take action; if you are coming, I prepare for your arrival.
I work from Zadar. In my current job I carry out on-site inspections, write reports on them and forward them to the people responsible. I work the same way at your property or boat: what I see, I photograph and write down, and I send you the report the same day.
I started AwayCare Adriatic because on the coast a great many apartments stand empty for most of the year, and owners often only find out months later if something has gone wrong.
When something goes wrong, I do not just report it – I take action. In case of a break-in I immediately notify the police, and you at the same time, and I am then present during the on-site investigation. In case of a burst pipe I shut off the water and call the plumber; after a storm I record and secure whatever has moved. I work with local tradespeople: plumbers, electricians, locksmiths, glaziers. I document the damage with photos so that you can also use them with your insurer. I inform you immediately about every step, and I agree any decisions involving costs with you.
Besides the watch, I also prepare the property or boat for your arrival: I clean, air it, make the beds, switch on the air conditioning and, if you wish, do the shopping – so all you have to do is arrive. After you leave, I clean, lock up, and everything goes back to its usual order.

We go through the property or boat together in person, fix the photo points (usually 12), and I take over the keys with a documented handover.
At the frequency you choose, I check the property from the outside, or both outside and inside. After a storm, also outside the schedule.
You receive the report by email: a one-sentence summary, photos compared with the previous condition, meter readings, and tasks with a cost estimate.

The apartment is in order.You need to decide on one minor matter: a worn shutter strap on the sea-side terrace. The bura on 30 September caused no damage.
The strap of the left shutter is worn out, and the shutter has slipped down by 20 cm. Not urgent; repair approx. €40, only with your approval.

I store them in a lockable key safe, without labels. Every handover and return is recorded in writing.
